05.05.2008Freeski Jam Session Spring Classics 08 – Kaunertal / Tirol (03.05.2008)
Timing could not have been better with the weather – hundreds of fans of snowboarding and skiing enjoyed a fabulous Freeski Session at the Kaunertal glacier within the Spring Classics 2008 – www.springclassics.at.
More than 50 Freeskiers from nations such as Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Poland took part in the battle in a perfect shaped park that impresses with a new Quarter Pipe (4 meters) and a Superpipe (140 meters long!) and various different lines including kickers, jibs, rails boxes and some other goodies!
The contest mainly took part in the Pro Kicker Line but riders have been asked to impress the jury with creative extras on the mountain, the park, the pipe and rails too.
And they did! It was a hard decision for the jury to identify the 3 best riders in each category but the final titles have been awarded by the riders themselves.

Spring Classics Master Women: Eva Patscheider / AUT / Atomic, Spyder, Smith
Best Trick: Marlon Holzmann / AUT / Head, Sub Industries, Tyrolia, Spy, Trojan
Best Rookie: Andri Ambühl / SUI
Best Alternative Line: Raphael Schweiger / AUT / Atomic, Airpatrol
At the end of the day organisers, audience and riders agreed, it has been a perfect day with fantastic weather, impressing performances and finest sound by DJ Badspin.

After the British Boardtest week the famous Party at Kaunertal Center in Feichten will see two hot Rock acts on stage: the local AC/DC cover band “Fire Age” and “Ever Since December” from Innsbruck are ready to rock the party crowd in the valley!
Thereupon our friends from Pleasure Magazine will introduce the snowboard week with the contest and the legendary soccer tournament on Saturday 17th.
You shouldn’t miss the “Butter bei die Fische” contest on May 24th either! As a final special we give out cash to the craziest people, tricks and outfits in the park – check it out!
